Banzito’s didn’t start as a brand. It started with food.
It was built out of late nights, backyard cooks, pop-ups, parking lots, and the simple obsession with making a taco that hit harder than anything around it. Not just “good for a truck,” not just convenient, but memorable. The kind of taco people talk about after, crave again, and bring friends back for.
From the beginning, the focus was always the same: take familiar flavors and push them further. Crisp the tortilla. Melt the cheese until it becomes part of the structure. Season boldly. Layer textures. Craft sauces from scratch. Make every bite intentional. If it wasn’t exciting, it didn’t make the cut.
Those backyard tacos turned into pop-ups. Pop-ups turned into parking lots. Parking lots turned into lines. And before we knew it, the same food once served off folding tables was finding its way into NBA arenas and even onto NBA shoes.
Today, Banzito’s is still rooted in that same mindset. Food first. Craft always. Tacos that blend tradition with creativity and aren’t afraid to stand out. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, every taco is made to deliver the same thing it always has, flavor worth remembering.

“I grew up in a Latin household where food and family were inseparable. From an early age, I spent time in the kitchen alongside my mother, helping prepare the dishes that brought our family together. With music playing and laughter filling the room, food was always at the center. That environment shaped my appreciation for cooking and sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since.
While I take pride in many dishes, tacos are where my focus lives. I have spent years refining flavors, developing sauces from scratch, and fine-tuning every element from seasoning to texture. The goal has always been to create a menu that stands apart and feels deliberate in every bite.
In a city filled with Mexican restaurants, my approach is not about imitation. It is about originality. Rather than recreating a traditional taqueria, I have built recipes that blend time-honored techniques with modern creativity, always using quality ingredients and cooking with purpose.
